Dear NYU Community Agriculture Club:
Congratulations! I am delighted to inform you that your organization has been selected as a recipient of a 2011 President’s Service Award for unwavering dedication to creating spaces on campus that improve community involvement and enhance the wellness of students, teachers, and existing NYU community agriculture and engagement infrastructure.
The President’s Service Awards recognize outstanding NYU students and groups who have made significant contributions to the university community in the areas of learning, leadership, and quality of student life. When students first arrive at NYU, I tell them my hope is that they, through their involvement in campus life, will make this university a better place for future generations of students. You have answered this challenge, and your success is evident! By giving of your time, energy and talents, you have positively impacted the culture of this institution and the members of our community.
All recipients will be honored by President Sexton and distinguished members of the NYU leadership team at a ceremony on Wednesday, April 27, 2011, in the Eisner and Lubin Auditorium on the 4th floor of the Kimmel Center for University Life. Award recipients are asked to arrive and check in at 3:00 PM. Immediately following the ceremony, a reception will be held in the Rosenthal Pavilion on the 10th floor of Kimmel. The ceremony will begin at 4:00p.m. To RSVP for this ceremony, please click here.
Thank you for all of your terrific work to make the NYU community stronger, more compassionate, and more vibrant. I look forward to congratulating you in person on April 6.
With all best wishes,
Marc Wais
