Hey Community Agriculturalists,
A quick note about an great website we encourage you to check out: Ethikus.com. The idea is similar to Groupon or Livingsocial, except that Ethikus focuses solely on socially and environmentally ethical businesses in Lower Manhattan. Last semester our club won a $500 prize from them, which we are putting to good use in the garden. Definitely check out their website, sign up for e-mails, and take advantage of their deals. They’re also on facebook.
Also, just a reminder that our first official event will be held THIS Saturday, September 17th at 11AM in our garden at 1 Washington Square Village, behind Bobst on 3rd Street – (Go through the driveway marked “1” and our garden is on the right). We will be showing off our work from the spring and summer, doing some cleanup, and hopefully planting some hearty crops for the fall.
Following that, our next general meeting will be Monday, September 26th, at 6:30 in Kimmel Room 903. Hope to see you guys in the garden this weekend and later in the month!
